Chris Allen composed this tune for his parents, who are celebrating their 25th.
This month’s tune, Leaving Glenurquhart, is our first non-Glengarry composition. This march is the signature tune of one of this year’s inductees, John Angus MacDonald. We have an mp3 of John Angus playing this tune. His sister Mary Frances MacPhee is accompanying him on piano.
A fiddler, Grant MacRae was married to Connie (Kippen) Blaney’s mother Kay and was step-father-in-law to Malcolm Dewar.
Another fine tune by Ian MacLeod this month. Mary is a school teacher, and wife of Duncan Dougie MacDonald from MacCrimmon.
