Farewell to Glengarry

Aug 1, 2013 | Tune of the Month

Hannah Miller started playing fiddle at six years of age. Residing in nearby St. Lazare, Quebec afforded Hannah the opportunity to attend The MacLeod School of Fiddling in Kirk Hill where she quickly mastered the violin under the guidance of instructor Ian MacLeod. She spent much time in Glengarry playing and travelling with The MacLeod Fiddlers. When her family recently moved back to Pittsburgh, PA, Hannah was inspired to write this slow air “Farewell to Glengarry” to express her sorrow at parting with Glengarry and her many friends.
