In Memory of Anne McNaughtan

May 1, 2015 | Tune of the Month

Anne McNaughtan died on May 11, 2006; because Anne was a Director and strong supporter of the organization from its inception, the Executive of the Glengarry Celtic Music Hall of Fame decided to honour her at the Induction Dinner later that month. Ian MacLeod was asked to play a tune in her memory; he surprised and delighted everyone when he and his wife Karen, played this beautiful tribute to a very special lady. In Memory of Anne McNaughtan is now a favourite whenever it is played and will be on the Glengarry Fiddlers’ CD to be released this summer. With May the month for mothers, it is appropriate that it is our “Tune of the Month.”
