2025 Student Bursaries Awarded

Aug 18, 2025 | News

The Glengarry Celtic Music Hall of Fame has taken on the responsibility of awarding bursaries to graduating students who have studied fiddle for several years, achieved a high level of accomplishment, and share a Glengarry connection. This tradition was previously carried on by the Glengarry Strathspey and Reel Society, which has now dissolved.

In 2025, the bursaries were presented on Friday, August 1st during the Youth Fiddle Program at the Glengarry Highland Games. This year’s deserving recipients, Brenna Villeneuve and Léa Maude Lajoie, both students of the MacLeod School of Fiddling, proudly accepted their awards. It is noteworthy that both will be pursuing their studies at university this fall.

The Glengarry Celtic Music Hall of Fame is proud to recognise these talented young musicians who have brought so much joy to the community through their music, and we extend our best wishes for their future success.
